It is also home to a number of elite sporting organisations such as Tennis Australia, Melbourne Victory, Melbourne Storm, Athletics Victoria, Collingwood Football Club, the Victorian Institute of Sport and many others.

The Human Resources Business Partner is responsible for providing operational and strategic human resources expertise across the full spectrum of HR services as well as generalist advice and support to MOPT line managers and employees.

This role will also act as the team functional expert in the following areas:

  • HR Systems
  • Intranet/Extranet Development
  • Learning. Training and Development
  • Return to Work and Injury Management
  • HR Policy Development

This role will also act as the HR Business Partner across the whole of MOPT.

To be considered for this position, candidates must have:

  • A strong understanding of current Employee Relations/Fair Work Legislation including familiarity with interpretation of Enterprise Bargaining Agreements
  • Well developed HR business partnering skills including the ability to establish strong and collaborative working relationships
  • Previous HR Consultant/HR Business Partner work experience gained within a dynamic, customer or event focused organisation
  • Demonstrated capacity to meet organisational recruitment and selection needs and the ability to recognise and respond quickly to emerging demand/opportunities
  • Ability to think strategically whilst ensuring a strong operational service delivery
  • Facilitation and presentation skills (including delivery of internal training modules)
  • Well developed organisation & HR management skills
  • Project management experience gained through the implementation of multiple HR initiatives that have delivered demonstrable business benefits
  • A preparedness to be flexible in regard to working hours
  • An ability to work efficiently in a dynamic and high pressured environment
  • Computer literacy- Microsoft Office at an intermediate level and HRIS (ConnX an advantage)
  • Previous experience implementing HRIS capability across various HR modules
